The founding partners of the European Lightweight Association – a network of lightweight networks – are Bayern Innovativ GmbH, A2LT and Hightech Zentrum Aargau AG. The European Lightweight Association currently has more than 3300 companies and 500 research institutions.
Bayern Innovativ is knowledge manager, initiator and accelerator of innovations. Our vision is a Bavaria where every viable idea and technology becomes an innovation.
We link companies with universities and research institutes, important companies of the State of Bavaria, organizations supported by the State of Bavaria and many other technology and knowledge networks to form a strong think tank - the Thinknet Bayern. Thinknet Bayern, which was set up by Bayern Innovativ, combines experts and expert knowledge with modern methods of innovation management. This makes Bayern Innovativ THE innovation platform for the Bavarian economy.

A2LT brings together the expertise of Austrian companies and research centres on the subject of sustainable, affordable and smart lightweighting. In a collaborative approach, independent of sector and materials, innovations are created that exceed the potential of the individual members: innovation through collaboration. A2LT is a joint initiative of the Automotive Cluster, Mechatronics Cluster, Plastics Cluster, industry division of the Upper Austrian Economic Chamber and ACstyria.

The Hightech Zentrum Aargau supports companies in technology and innovation issues. In order to address the various issues comprehensively, highly skilled technology and innovation experts are active in the Hightech Zentrum Aargau. They are characterized by a solid professional training and years of industry experience in leading positions. This makes them competent and proven partners of SME’s. Advanced Manufacturing Cluster of the Metal Industry of Asturias, MetaIndustry4, is defined as a multidisciplinary cluster model, aligned with the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization of Asturias (RIS3), in which industry, technology and knowledge converge. Our mission consists on: Promote the competitive improvement of the sector ecosystem, facilitating their integration into the main Global Value Chains, improving human and technological resources, and focusing on innovation and cooperation; with a clear orientation towards the acceleration of the growth rate in both turnover and profitability.

The Automotive Industry Cluster of Catalonia (CIAC) is a non-profit association open to companies operating in the automotive industry, that are based in Catalonia, and pursue R&D+i activities. The Cluster does not rely on any public funding and is financed exclusively through contributions from its associate companies. Over 190 companies linked to the industry have joined the Catalan automotive cluster since it was established. This group of companies has a turnover of more than €20,000 million and provides employment for over 40,000 people.The main aim of the association is to boost the competitiveness of the automotive industry as the driving force behind the Catalan economy, as well as to foster the opening of the catalan automotive industry to the international market.

RAI Automotive Industry NL is the cluster organization of the Dutch automotive industry, and related knowledge and education centres with about 200 members.
RAI Automotive Industry NL supports the innovative Dutch automotive sector by representing the sector, nationally and internationally. An important basis is formed by its national eco system that is part of the innovative Top Sector High Tech Systems & Materials (HTSM), in which industry, education, science and governments parties actively work together.
